FAQ

What is roaming?

Roaming is a service that allows you to use your Mobilis SIM card abroad. It enables you to make and receive calls, send SMS, and connect to the internet using the network of a Mobilis partner internationally.

How can I activate the roaming service?

The service is activated by default for Prepaid and Control subscribers; you simply need to recharge your account to benefit from it. You can also activate roaming packages via *600#. For Postpaid subscribers, roaming service activation must be done

at a Mobilis agency

Also, make sure to enable the "Data roaming" option in your phone's network settings

What should I do once I'm abroad?

Your phone will automatically connect to the Mobilis partner network in the country you are in. You can also connect manually through your phone's network settings.

How can I make calls from abroad?

When making calls, please use the country code of the person you are calling.

Examples:

• Algeria: +213 662 XX XX XX

• Tunisia: +216 XXX XX XX XX

I cannot make calls from abroad, what should I do?

Traditionally, when you're on a phone call, cellular data is temporarily suspended to route the voice so the call can continue.

However, technologies like VoLTE (Voice over LTE or Voice over Long Term Evolution) use data lines (Internet) to carry your voice and thus do not limit cellular data when you make a phone call. As a result, you can browse the web and use apps normally while making a VoLTE call. Additionally, VoLTE offers other benefits, such as faster call connection and clearer voice quality.

However, depending on roaming agreements with certain foreign operators, this feature could interfere with your call initiation when traveling abroad, so it is recommended to disable it as follows:

On "iOS":

  1. Open the Settings app and tap on Cellular.
  2. If you use two or more SIM cards on your iPhone, tap the name of your line under the SIM header. If you use only one SIM card, tap Cellular Data Options at the top.
  3. Tap Voice & Data.
  4. Disable VoLTE.
  5. Repeat steps 2, 3, and 4 for the other SIM card if you use two on your iPhone.

On "Android":

  1. Go to your phone's Settings, then navigate to Connections, Mobile Networks, and uncheck Calls over 4G or VoLTE.
