In fulfillment of Mobilis' strategy to support development axes in our great South and expand its network across the country, the CEO, Mr. Chawki Boukhazani, conducted a field visit from September 2 to 4, 2024, to the various company structures and technological projects programmed in the wilayas of Béchar and Tindouf, linked to the national strategic project of the Béchar-Ghar Djebilet railway line and the Ghar Djebilet mining project, to ensure the smooth progress of these projects.
Béchar was the first stop of Mr. Chawki Boukhazani's visit, where he inspected the progress of the installation works of the new base station, located 7 kilometers from the wilaya, and also visited the commercial agency located in El Abadla, 100 km from the wilaya headquarters.
He then continued his visit in the same wilaya, following the progress of the life base projects along the national road n°50 connecting Béchar to Ghar Djebilet, starting with the life base n° 08725 located in Ouakla, 225 km from the wilaya headquarters, where the works are progressing at a rapid pace. It was followed by the life base n° 52110 called site Oued El Doura 1 in Beni Abbas, which is the largest life base in the Algerian desert, then by the life base of the site Oued El Doura 2 n° 52111 where the works are also nearly completed. Mr. Chawki Boukhazani thus commended the efforts of the workers to successfully complete these projects.
On the sidelines of his visit to the wilaya, Mr. Chawki Boukhazani met with the Wali of Béchar, Mr. Saïd Ben Kamo, where the two parties discussed the details of the project to connect the Ghar Djebilet project and the railway to the Mobilis mobile phone network, as well as the central role of the operational teams in charge of installing base stations along this immense national project, and winning the challenge of network coverage in the southwestern region of the country.
He then traveled to the wilaya of Tindouf, where he continued his visit to the company's structures, particularly the commercial agency in the same wilaya, which is experiencing a significant influx of businesses and customers. He then inspected the life base project of the Hassi Khabi station, located 350 km from the wilaya headquarters, followed by the Hassi Menir site, where he received explanations about the progress rate of the works and the technical stages of these projects.
With the aim of studying the situation of connecting both Ghar Djebilet and the railway to the Mobilis mobile phone network, the Wali of Tindouf, Mr. Dahou Mostafa, received Mr. Chawki Boukhazani at the wilaya headquarters, where he praised the efforts made by the local public authorities to provide field facilities proactively, as well as the constant commitment of the Mobilis operator to accompany the strategic projects of the Algerian state, and to accelerate the pace of economic and social development in the southwest of the country.
